3 Ways to Help

Monetary Donations:

You can help by providing an at-risk child with tutoring, mentoring, snacks, supplies and a safe place to study.

• $2500 provides a scholarship for one child for the entire year
• $1250 provides a scholarship for one child for one semester
• $1000 - provides academic coaching
• $500 - sponsors one child for summer camp
• $100 - provides school supplies
• $1+ - every dollar makes a difference!

Time Donation:

Are you interested in volunteering?  STAR House Foundation would love to involve you in outreach that will make the difference in the life of a child.  We have three programs, serving nearly 200 students who need you. 

We appreciate our volunteers who allow us to reach each of our students, help them with their homework and challenge their academic potential.  You can:

• read to or listen to a child read;
• help students review for a test;
• check homework for accuracy, or
• tutor a child in your favorite subject.

If your schedule does not permit tutoring, there are other ways you can volunteer. Lead a snack or school supply drive, create craft projects for holidays, speak to our students about your profession, life/study skills, bring in your hobby/talent... use your imagination!

Supplies Donation:

Our students need sufficient tools to be successful. Some items that are always needed include pencils, erasers, notebook paper, poster board, 1 and 2 inch binders, bottles of water, healthy snacks.
