The STAR House Golf Marathon is coming to Brookfield Country Club. It's time to loosen up your back and arms so you can either reach for your clubs or reach for your wallet.  Either way, you will be helping to build a better North Fulton community by supporting STAR House.   Find out how you can be involved!

KooKoo Bear Kids
Monkey See... Monkey Do Contest

For every sock monkey purchased at KooKoo Bear Kids from July 15 through October 1 2010, 10% of the proceeds will be donated to the STAR House Foundation. Once purchased, contestants will take photographs of their children with their Sock Monkey in interesting and fun locations. This could be on vacation, playing at home, involved with their local sports team or even participating in local charitable events – imagination is encouraged. Summer Camp Success!
Under the Sea was the theme for sixty students at STAR House Foundation's summer camp!  The theme of camp not only allowed us to explore a fascinating part of our world, but to focus on mathematics and science skills.  For three weeks students explored what lies beneath big blue, researching aquatic life on laptops, comparing and contrasting various sea creatures, building submarines out of boxes, designing their own private islands, even creating their own shoebox aquariums.  Our students were engaged in their summer experience & having so much fun they may not have recognized just how much they were learning!  

Volunteers from the National Charity League and Ocee Arts brought art to camp, where each student tie-dyed his/her own camp tshirt.  On Fridays generous restaurants from the community donated lunch for our students, including Chick-fil-a, Moe's, Chipotle and Domino's Pizza.  Just ask the visitors that stopped by from University of Phoenix, Wachovia/Wells Fargo and Roswell Rotary, what the STAR House experience is like?! As camp comes to a close, each of our students received a backpack full of supplies to begin the 2010-2011 school year thanks to the generous donation of the St. Ives Charity Guild.  We are proud of the dedication our students demonstrated this summer, it was our best camp yet!
